About Our Advocacy

“Achiever's collective” is an advocacy campaign created by grade 11 students from Regional Science High School III in the Philippines to raise awareness of the sudden changes in the Philippines’ educational system.

Our goal is to open the masses' eyes and minds to the implications of this kind of educational system for a student learning from it: the lack of advanced education. By simplifying all scopes of learning and removing regional languages from being taught

Even with a low economic standing, our country must not compromise on funding the future of its people. Education is a fundamental right, and every learner deserves access to proper education and fair treatment. This is not just a dream—it is a necessity for progress.

It’s important for us to acknowledge the power of our voices. Speaking out about the issues in our education system might not yield instant results, but change doesn’t happen overnight. It starts with courage—one voice inspiring another until it becomes a collective movement too strong to ignore.

Let’s break the silence. Whether it's through sharing your story, starting a conversation, or joining others who are advocating for better education, every action counts. Your voice matters, and when we stand together, we pave the way for a brighter future—not just for ourselves but for generations to come.

The Philippines has faced many changes in its educational system over the course of its complicated history. From the ordens of the Spanish colonization from back then, to the newly implemented MATATAG curriculum of today; The country's education is still built on unstable foundations.

The implementation of the MATATAG curriculum provided many changes and challenges for all of those who are involved. DepEd states that it "focuses on individual learners, strives to build globally literate and future-ready citizens, and seeks to address current and future educational concerns" (Deped Order No. 10, s. 2024). Yet the curriculum has removed many basic aspects of education needed in this country. Because of this, many are concerned for the quality of the students' education.
